Nassau County School Facilities Association: Custodial Workshop 2024
Enhancing School Facilities Management: A Successful Custodial Workshop by the Nassau County School Facilities Association
The Nassau County School Facilities Association remains steadfast in its mission to elevate the education and proficiency of school facilities staff across all facets of facilities management. This commitment to excellence was exemplified once again through our annual custodial workshop, a cornerstone event that brings together professionals from across Nassau County to share knowledge, best practices, and innovative strategies in facilities management.
This year's workshop was a resounding success, thanks to the generous hosting by the Herricks School District. Under the expert management of Director of Facilities Marty Abrams, the event provided a comprehensive educational experience for custodial staff, helping them to enhance their skills and further their careers.
The collaborative spirit of Nassau County was on full display, with facilities workers from all school districts in the county participating. This collective effort underscores the importance of continuous learning and professional development in maintaining and improving the environments where our students learn and thrive.
Key support for the workshop came from several prominent figures within the Herricks School District. Superintendent Dr. Tony Sinanis, Business Official Lisa Rutkoske, and Principal Ms Joan Keegan all played crucial roles in ensuring the event's success. Their dedication and leadership provided a strong foundation for a day filled with valuable learning and professional growth.
We extend our deepest gratitude to the Herricks School District for their hospitality and organizational prowess. Special thanks are also due to the vendors who contributed their time and resources, and to the hardworking staff at Herricks High School who ensured that the day ran smoothly.
This workshop is more than just an annual event; it is a testament to our collective commitment to excellence in school facilities management. By investing in the education and development of our facilities staff, we are investing in the future of our schools and the success of our students.
Thank you to everyone who made this day possible. We look forward to continuing our mission and seeing the positive impact of these educational initiatives across Nassau County.
